My medication has run out / I am missing medication

According to my drip schedule I have to drip for less than 1 week
In this case you don't need to get a new prescription. You can stop taking these drops.

According to my drip schedule I still have to drip for more than 1 week
Start or take the drops you (still) have. You can contact FYEO the next business day or request a new prescription via this link . It is not a problem if you cannot drip for 1 or 2 days, not even in the first week after the treatment. Resume your drip schedule as soon as you have the new drops.

Where can I get medication in the evening and at night?

If you have had a surface treatment (Lasek, PTK or TransPTK), you will have received an emergency prescription for Tramadol, Chloramphenicol and Tetracaine in your medication bag. With this prescription you can pick up these medicines in the evening and night hours at an emergency pharmacy in your area. See here which emergency pharmacy is near you.

I deviated from the drip schedule, what now?

It is important that you stick to the drip schedule as best as possible. You do not have to catch up on forgotten drops, in this case resume the drip schedule with the next drip round. This is because otherwise the drip moments will be too close together.

Did you accidentally use too many drops? Don't worry, this can happen once and is not serious. Try to dose it as well as possible to prevent using too much medication at a time.

Different rules apply to tear replacement drops. You can use these as needed. Too much is not an issue here. In the case of fluctuating vision or dry eye complaints, more drops may be used.

I have not received any medication that I need to use before the operation, what should I do? Can the treatment still go ahead?

  • Your treatment can continue as normal;
  • Depending on the period until treatment, it is possible that FYEO will send the necessary medication by post. Please contact FYEO on working days for this;
  • If there is no time to send the medication, you come to the clinic earlier on your treatment day. You can then still take the medication at FYEO. The medication that you have to take the evening before your treatment according to the brochure will be cancelled. This is nothing to worry about;
  • If you discover on the day of treatment that you have forgotten to inject Tropicamide, then inject again when you leave for the clinic. Is this no longer possible? No problem, we will inject extra when you arrive at the clinic.

Did I receive the correct medication?

The pharmacy can sometimes send you other medication than stated in your brochure or medication table due to delivery problems. These medications have the same active ingredient and you can therefore use them. View all medication with the active ingredient here .
