Achieve visible results in a short time

Drs. Albert Vos has always been progressive and groundbreaking. As one of the first ophthalmologists in the Netherlands, Drs. Vos had his eyes lasered. Many fellow ophthalmologists thought that was not done at the time. How times have changed. “I myself have two lens implants, performed by colleagues at FYEO. Since then, I have been rid of my vision problem.”

Drs. Vos can really enjoy his profession. What appeals to him most is that you can achieve a lot in a short time with a visible result. According to him, a skilled ophthalmologist must be technically skilled, but above all be able to communicate well.

“I think I have the empathy and the skills to deal with all kinds of clients. It is important to manage people’s expectations and inform clients that the past will never come back.”

Stepping out of your comfort zone

Drs. Vos has been working for FYEO since 2011, where he performs ReplaceLens and laser treatments. He will be employed full-time from 2021. Before that, he was partly affiliated with the Maxima Medical Center in Eindhoven. An environment where Drs. Vos worked closely with fellow physicians who gradually made the transition to FYEO with him. “I can recommend everyone to change environments. Stepping out of your comfort zone is very refreshing.”

For Drs. Vos, FYEO is a highly specialized center for refractive surgery. Very different from a hospital. “FYEO has a luxurious appearance, the entire entourage is focused on full attention and optimal logistics and comfort for the client. I am proud that I have played a part in the growth of FYEO and have been at the foundation of the current team of ophthalmologists.”
