A fraction of a second or a difference of millimeters means the difference between winning and losing. Of course, talent and training are essential for the athletes of TeamNL, but ultimately everything has to be right to achieve the best results. Good vision is of great importance in this. FYEO helps the top athletes of TeamNL to perform at their best. Top athletes of TeamNL now have their eyes examined at FYEO and, if necessary, also treated with eye laser treatment or lens implantation. This makes wearing glasses or contact lenses unnecessary and they are not hindered in any way.

Top athletes must be able to fully trust their eyes. That is why they can have their eyes checked and possibly treated at FYEO. Every eye is unique and every situation is different. That is why we determine a personal treatment plan together with every top athlete of TeamNL, so that it fits perfectly with his or her situation. Of course, this does not only apply to the top athletes of TeamNL, but we provide everyone with personal advice and a treatment plan tailored to their needs. It is not without reason that the best result is one of our pillars within FYEO.

As Eye Care Supplier of TeamNL, we regularly get top athletes visiting FYEO. In recent months, a large number of TeamNL athletes have already undergone a preliminary examination and received personal, customized advice (treatment plan) from our ophthalmologists. After all, you don't want to be hindered by glasses or lenses to deliver top performances. Dozens of athletes have now successfully undergone laser eye surgery or lens implantation treatment at FYEO.

We have treated top athletes from TeamNL from athletics, swimming, basketball, cycling and gymnastics. We recently treated Simone van de Kraats. Thanks to laser eye surgery, she can perform at the highest level, without the distraction and inconvenience of contact lenses. Curious about her story? 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games

After the very successful Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games in Paris, TeamNL is now preparing for the winter edition of the Olympic Games. The Milan Winter Olympics will take place from 6 to 22 February 2026. The organization has been assigned to the Northern Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Paralympic Winter Games will start a month later.

In total, more than 3,500 athletes from 93 countries will compete for 198 medals in 16 Olympic disciplines and 6 Paralympic sports with beautiful Italian landscapes as a backdrop. The Netherlands will of course compete for the medals for skating/short track, but our athletes will also be active in alpine skiing, bobsleigh, skeleton, figure skating and snowboarding.
