How does lens implantation work?
First, your eyes are numbed with eye drops, then the laser makes a tiny opening in the side of the cornea. Then the implant lens is positioned in the right place through the opening.
ExtraLenses are placed in front of the natural lens. During the ReplaceLens treatment, the natural lens is first fragmented or pulverized. This can be done laser-guided or manually by the ophthalmologist, after which the ReplaceLens replaces the removed natural lens.
After the placement of the implant lenses, the eye does not need to be stitched. The incision heals by itself.
